I just completed th epurchase of a boat through Smith Yacht sales. My broker Steve B. who, from my first call to the completion of the purchase, couldn’t have been more helpful. Steve is polite, considerate, knowledgeable, very easy to reach and truly enjoys what he does.

If I asked Steve a question he couldn’t answer, instead of BS’ing me he said he’d find out and get right back to me, and he did. I’m in my 60’s and have owned many boats, and have dealt with many yacht brokers. Steve was as good a broker as I’ve encountered, and much better than most.

I also had the pleasure to meet Eric, the owner, as well as Connie, who handled the transaction paperwork. Both of them, like Steve, couldn’t have been nicer or more cooperative.

Smith Yacht Sales is a quality company owned and staffed by quality people. I wouldn’t hesitate to do business with them again.

South Port Boat
26′ Southort Center Console, 2006-Hingham, MA

I have been admiring Southports in the Hingham Shipyard since we moved to the area 3 years ago. More importantly, my wife, who is not quite the boating enthusiast I am, had always said “well, if you ever do get a really nice boat, that’s the one you should buy”. And that was based on looks alone. When we researched Southports online and couldn’t find one comment that wasn’t absolutely glowing about the ride and quality of fit and finish, we both knew Southport was our perfect boat. I decided this Spring it was time to “go for it” and enlisted the help of Dana Brandt at Smith Yacht Sales. Little did I know just what a hot commodity slightly used Southports were, but Dana became a great partner and friend in the process of acquiring our 26. Over the course of doing so, Dana joined me in traveling to NJ for the sea trial, working out the shipping details and connecting me with local experts for maintenance. It’s been over a month and we still find reasons to stay in touch. We are thrilled with our new Southport Center Console (planning to name her “Mellow”) and even my wife asks me when we are going out next!

Eric and Scott, just wanted to say thanks for the help with selling my Pursuit Walkaround. Scott did a great job presenting the vessel, and I received a fair price after all was said and done. I had mixed feelings about selling, but it was the right move as I needed to downsize a bit. Scott, if I ever sell another boat, I will look you up-appreciate your efforts.
