Spring Tides an Alden Challenger 38 family owned since 1970 this masthead yawl rigged cruising yacht underwent a major refit in 2003. Powered by a Perkins 4-107 35 HP diesel motor that was replaced in 1991. The family has decided to make this classic yacht avialable to the next owners.

Description
The Challenger 38 designed by John G. Alden the hull molded by Halmatic and completed in Denmark. This blue water yacht is a masthead yawl designed that stands out for its heavy construction, steady handling capabilities and excellent righting capabilities. Spring Tides is well suited for long journeys and beyond. She underwent a complete restoration in 2003 that included superstructure-cabin / cockpit along with the rigging and fuel tanks replaced. The masts are aluminum the booms are spruce, a mechanical system with a hand crank operates to drop or lift the centerboard mounted in the keel.
